CNA Certification Requirements in Arkansas

In order to work as a certified nursing assistant, you need to obtain a certification. Getting the certification in Arkansas means completing a 90-hour training program and passing the exam.

The Arkansas state requires candidates to hold no criminal background and submit proof of fingerprints. In addition, the employers will also require you to pass the physical examination and a medical test.

If you are taking online CNA classes, you need to attend the clinical sessions the training program will arrange in any long-term healthcare facility.

For the certification, answer all the multiple-choice questions. You have to complete the written exam in two hours. Arrange for a person who can volunteer for a patient.

Also, ensure that the person you will be asking to act as a patient to show your hands-on nursing skills is over 18 years old. Register yourself with the state nurse aide registry for the certification once you have cleared the exam.

CNA classes in Arkansas are also possible through online. Call, mail or visit the local nursing registry office to find the course accepted by the nursing board.

The study material covered in the online training program is similar with the traditional ones. However, practical experience is achievable only by completing the training working in hospitals, nursing homes or old-age homes.
