CNA Exam

The state of Minnesota follows the norms and conditions set by NNAAP (National Nurse Aide Assessment Program). The state exam for CNA is conducted in 2 parts – written test and skill test. In written test, the students have to solve 70 multiple choice questions based on the theory syllabus. On the other hand, the students have to perform 5 clinical tasks which are randomly chosen by the nurse examiners. The students are supposed to accomplish these tasks very skillfully and within given time; as the course instructors and senior registered nurses constantly evaluate their skill competency while they are attempting the test. Thus, passing in both the tests is mandatory for a candidate to get certified. It proves the good skill competency level of the students and ability to enter the professional world of nursing.
Once certified, the candidates can apply for the licensure so that they can continue nursing practice anywhere across the state. Those CNAs who are from different states, but want to work in Minnesota can get their credentials and license transferred to Minnesota through the reciprocity agreement.

The CNA training in Minnesota lasts for 75 hours only and thus, is an easy way to become a certified nursing assistant in order to work at a professional health care setting.
