CNA Exam in South Dakota

When the students are done with the entire training program, they have to take the state approved CNA exam. The exam is collectively administered by the state and D & S Diversified Technologies. It has 2 parts one of which is a written test. This test asks the students to solve 75 multiple choice questions based upon the technical course content and the students have to score 75% or above in this test. The second part of the exam is nothing but a clinical skills competency test. This test has to be attempted by the students by performing any 5 randomly given clinical skills within the given time. They have to prove their competency in both theory as well as clinical protocols under the strict supervision of the nursing examiners. They get evaluated on the basis of their competency level. Once they pass in both the tests successfully, they become eligible to obtain the state certification as the nursing assistants. Getting the CNA certificate enables them to apply for the licensure. The certificate and license allow the candidates to work legally as the certified nurse aides at any setting across the state. The license is a proof that the respective candidate possesses the desired talent and skill sets required for working as a CNA.
If the students get employed by certain health care setting during or immediately after the completion of the CNA classes, then they are eligible for the financial reimbursement by the facility.
