Procedure for Applying for State Certification Exam

Vermont state certification exam must be appeared within 2 years from the date you completed the course program. This includes undergoing a written test and skills evaluation test. Both these tests are based upon the topics that are covered in the training program. Written test covers the conceptual part of nursing whereas skills test covers the nursing expressions and practicality part. Written test provides 90 minutes to finish 72 multiple choice questions. One can opt for oral test too, for which one will be required to mention it in the exam application form. It is same as the written test procedure-wise, only the difference is that the candidates are provided with the recording of questions, which can be stopped and rewound as needed within the specified duration. Score of at least 75% is needed in this test. Evaluation of nurse aide skills is made during the skills test.
