Monday Inspiration for Nurse Entrepreneurs

As I look at me “To Be Accomplished This Week List”, which is a sub-list linked to a higher-order “To Be Accomplished In Life List”, I realize that I need some Monday inspiration. Sigh… I have so much to do and not enough time.

(Personal tidbit- I really like inspirational quotes, videos, and speakers so much, that my 11 yr old twins complain that they wish I would quit using a motivational speaker style when lecturing to them about their misbehaviors. “Mom you are a nurse, not a motivational speaker.” To which I promptly reply “A little motivation never hurt anyone!”)

I thought the readers of this blog ( Top Nurse Info ) might also be experiencing the Monday Blues. So here are some quotes from famous entrepreneurs and resources. The Harvard Business School has a whole page of legitimate links to resources for entrepreneurs. Also, Stanford University offers Entrepreneur’s Corner with over 2,000 free resources. Hope you are Inspired and Empowered!

“My biggest motivation? Just to keep challenging myself. I see life almost like one long University education that I never had – everyday I’m learning something new” -Richard Branson

“An entrepreneur tends to bite off a little more than he can chew hoping he’ll quickly learn how to chew it”- Roy Ash

“It takes 20 years to build a reputation and five minutes to ruin it. If you think about that, you’ll do things differently”- Warren Buffett

“One of the huge mistakes people make is that they try to force an interest on themselves. You don’t choose your passions; your passions choose you.”- Jeff Bezos

“Openly share and talk to people about your idea. Use their lack of interest or doubt to fuel your motivation to make it happen”- Todd Garland

“I made a resolve then that I was going to amount to something if I could. And no hours, nor amount of labor, nor amount of money would deter me from giving the best that there was in me. And I have done that ever since, and I win by it. I know”- Colonel Sanders

Save one life, you’are a hero. Save 100 lives, you’re a nurse.
